The Hill House School Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of Mark Cadman, have gone from strength to strength over the past 5 years, participating in the National Concert Band Festival for the first time in 2014.

 

They have been to the final 3 times in as many years. The Band play extensively in and out of school  and attract players from all year groups, the youngest being in Year 7 and the eldest in the Upper Sixth.

 

The ensemble have participated in Festivals in Huddersfield (the Mrs Sunderland Festival – winning the Roy Castle Trophy), Music for Youth and The Robin Hood Festival.  They are going on their first Music Tour to Salzburg in Austria this Summer.
