The Epworth Wesley Memorial Methodist Church Worship Band

Wesley band_edited.jpg

The band was started over 15 years ago.  The church was and still is very fortunate to have several members with musical talents and they were all brought together to create a band to accompany the modern worship songs that were emerging and proving popular with the congregation.

The band plays once a month at the Contemporary Service held on the morning of the fourth Sunday of the month. They can say that they are currently an international group as they have a Ukrainian guitarist playing with them. He plays in a similar worship band back home in the Ukraine.

When everyone is present, there are three guitarists, a piano player, a drummer, a squeeze box player and three vocalists.

The repertoire ranges from old favourites by Graham Kendrick and Stuart Townend to new pieces by Lou Fellingham, Zarlene Zschech, Matt Redman and Reuben Morgan.
